I would have to agree somewhere in this decade, his singing took a dive . I mean he had always be on and off, and when he was on, it could be pretty interesting . I saw him at Staples Center in LA, 10/19/01, still on guitar, and he was great, maybe the best I have seen him . I didn't see him for a while, and I heard rather perplexed reports by people who did . I next saw him at the Pantages Theater, 3/25/05 and his singing was ... It just didn't work . He kept doing these upturns at the end of a line, like some weird Tommy Johnson/Bing Crosby thing... for the WHOLE concert ! And I am disappointed with the singing on the new album . Bob knock of the cigs, booze, and take a long break !At least for that voice of vour's .
